Ithuba Valves showcases strong first-half 2026 performance through specialised manufacturing and complex valve refurbishment. Ithuba Valves has marked a successful first half of 2026 with the completion of several major valve manufacturing and refurbishment projects supporting South Africa’s critical water infrastructure. The projects demonstrate the company’s capability to manufacture specialised valves, restore large-diameter equipment and manage technically demanding refurbishment programmes.

Specialised Valves for Midmar Dam

For the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) at Midmar Dam, Ithuba Valves manufactured hydraulic sleeve valves in DN600, DN400, DN380 and DN200. The project required precision manufacturing across multiple sizes while maintaining consistent engineering and quality standards.

Johannesburg Water – Hector Norris Pump Station

Ithuba Valves also completed a complex manufacturing programme for Johannesburg Water involving: DN1200 tilting-disc valves, DN250 wedge gate valves, DN600 and DN700 mm resilient-seated butterfly valves and resilient-seated gate valves. Gearbox-operated valves with AUMA electric actuators and hydraulic cylinder operated on auto close valves. All valves fully complying to Johannesburg Water specifications. The project required close attention to valve condition, pressure ratings, flange configurations, actuation and coating specifications across multiple valve technologies.
