Duvha Foundry offers a comprehensive range of casting solutions, producing items ranging from basic sand castings to complex, multicore moulds. Their products serve various industries, including pump and valve manufacturing, rail, mining, power generation, cement, pulp and paper, smelting, heat treatment, chemical, and petrochemical sectors. Castings vary in weight from 2.5 kg to 2,400 kg and include components such as casings, stuffing boxes, bogie casings, cones, boxes, augers, and various valve and pump parts.
Facilities and Equipment:
The foundry is equipped with six induction furnaces, a Bruker Q4 Spectrometer, Brinnell hardness testers, a top-hat heat treatment plant, CNC machines for turning, milling, and drilling, among other equipment. Recent investments include a new Endeco Omega 20-ton per hour continuous mixer and a shot blasting machine capable of processing six tons of castings per hour. These upgrades aim to reduce scrap, improve shot blasting, and optimize sand usage.
Company History:
Founded by Stanley Tshivhase, Duvha Foundry began with modest operations, initially occupying 800 m² with a staff of six.
Over the years, the company has expanded significantly, moving to a larger facility in 2014 and increasing monthly casting capacity from 30-40 tons to 120 tons. The workforce has also grown to 60 employees.
Quality Assurance:
Duvha Foundry is ISO 9001:2008 TUV Rheinland accredited and is working towards achieving SANAS accreditation. The company emphasizes staff development, offering training in various foundry activities and quality assurance processes.
